Ionic Consulting are delighted to announce the signing of our second owner’s engineer contract in Scotland to support Statkraft during the construction of the subsidy-free Twentyshilling Wind Farm project in Dumfries & Galloway following a competitive tendering process. This is the sister project to Windy Rig project which we were awarded in late 2019. Our thanks again to all the Statkraft teams in the UK, Ireland and Norway for getting this project over the line especially during these challenging times.
Ionic Consulting Managing Director, Ken Boyne said
‘We are delighted to be supporting Statkraft as owner’s engineer in delivering the Twentyshilling project having already been appointed to the same role on the nearby Windy Rig project. This further cements our position in the re-emerging Scottish onshore wind market and is encouragement for Ionic to continue growing the Edinburgh team. We also hope to announce some further exciting news on another project in the next few weeks. To paraphrase Chief Brody, we are definitely ‘going to need a bigger boat’!!!’.
The Ionic team in Scotland was also bolstered by the arrival earlier this year of Ian Dineen in the role of Project Manager and Rob Brocklehurst in the role of Resident Engineer with further expansion of the team expected before the end of the year.
