We are thrilled to have been shortlisted for the Consultant Firm of the Year award at the inaugural Irish Wind Energy Association Awards coming up in January.
2018 was a record year for Ionic, where we assisted our clients in completing 19 wind farm projects with a total installed capacity of 450MW and we also passed the 1.5GW milestone of completed O/E projects in Ireland.
We have always prided ourselves on having a strong technical capability across all the main areas required to support the delivery of projects for our clients and this has allowed us to facilitate the introduction of new turbine types; to deliver projects in the most complex ground and site conditions; to deliver against the most stringent planning conditions and to engineer and deliver a range of contestably built grid solutions both at distribution and transmission voltages. It has also allowed us to support clients delivering hybrid solutions involving traditional wind turbine technology combined with different types of energy storage technology with 2018 being the year where the first project was completed with battery storage being provided within each individual wind turbine. All of this using the talent and experience of our local engineers.
We’re also delighted to support this event by sponsoring the award for the Project of the Year and wish all those shortlisted, the very best of luck. See you all on January 25th!
